Hello everyone. My name is Betsy and I’m the co-founder of Vacation Learning Blog. I’m a wife, mother of 3, full-time special education teacher, and V.P. of the St. Margaret of Castello Maternity Home. The things I remember most from growing up as the oldest of 4 are the lessons my parents taught, especially those on our day trips. Mandy Mazzawi- Holiness in the Ordinary

Over the years Mandy has worn many hats, from helping assemble reports on science policy at the National Academies of the Sciences, to working on the board of a special needs advocacy group, and becoming a children’s advocate for abused children, but by far her favorite role has been being a mom to her 3 children ages 10-4 and wife to her loving husband, Joe.

You can find her @mustardseedsandwildflowers on Instagram writing about her experiences as a Catholic convert, life as a special needs Mom, reflections on God’s Love and finally accepting, with Joy, the most important vocation He has placed in her life – becoming and raising saints.

Be Not Afraid (BNA) is a private non-profit organization which provides comprehensive case management to parents carrying to term following a prenatal diagnosis.  Our staff and peers strive to develop a relationship of trust while providing for the emotional and tangible needs of parents at diagnosis, during pregnancy, at birth and during the post postpartum period for up to one year. We believe that every baby is a gift, and we support parents not only in advocating for basic care, but also in obtaining the treatment they deem appropriate for their child after birth no matter the diagnosis.  We follow the ethical teaching of the Catholic Church, but serve parents of all denominations..
