Easter Pup Creations

Easter Pup Creations – Handcrafted Custom Rosaries and Wearable Art

Our Beginnings
I was first introduced to the rosary while serving as a medic In the Army. Though, I didn’t discover its true beauty and how it could bring me comfort until years later when I spent some time as a patient in the VA hospital and developed a relationship with the chaplain there. Over time he became both a friend and a mentor.
The desire (or compulsion) to craft rosaries didn’t strike me until later.
In July of 2005, I suffered a serious injury to my hand while working in a machine shop. My hand was crushed and two fingers were traumatically amputated by a chain that had snapped off of my machine. One of the two fingers was saved and over the next several months and years I underwent numerous surgeries reconstructing my hand.

It was during this time of recovery that I felt led and compelled to make rosaries. I had sunk into a dark place and memories of my time as a Trauma / Pedi-trauma medic filled my days and nights. Making rosaries served as a pathway for me to find peace of mind and was a great therapeutic tool in relearning to use my hand.
Also in this difficult time, I was introduced to a strong-willed Alaskan Husky who would make positive and dramatic changes in my life.
Born on Easter Sunday of 2006, this tiny pup was given to me as a Father’s Day gift. I’ll be the first to admit that I had no desire to have a dog. But, upon meeting this frightened tiny pup (she was being circled by our cats at the time) and hearing of the horrific conditions she came from, I knew she was meant to be with us. In just a few hours, an inseparable bond was formed between the two of us and it seemed that we both needed each other.

Why Easter Pup?
Battle Buddy, Best Friend, and Legend in her own mind
When contemplating and debating with myself as to what I should call this new adventure, I kept returning to the two biggest things that brought me peace in troubled dark times. Making and praying the rosary and my best friend and battle buddy Queen Pupcake the Easter Pup.
Following that logic, it seemed only natural to name it after her.

Gifts of the Spirit

Gifts of the Spirit

Gifts of the Spirit- Supplies for the domestic church.

Gifts of the Spirit was established in 1983 by two sisters and was set to close in August of 2018. A young Catholic family came along and made it their mission to keep the shop alive. Although the current health crisis recently dictated the need to close down the storefront permanently, shipowner Natalie Duffy is determined to operate the shop remotely while simultaneously raising 6 little boys.

Holly Loo Yah Designs

Holly Loo Yah Designs

Holly Loo Yah Designs – Start a conversation with words over your heart.

Hi, my name is Holly Nguyen and I am the creative designer and owner of Holly Loo Yah! Designs. I started making t-shirts for family and friends in 2017 and as my time and desire grew to make shirts my very supportive husband and I decided in January of 2020 to make it a business. I am a mother to two amazing children. I enjoy sharing my creations with you and love coming up with new relevant designs to help you share your faith with the world through the expression of a t-shirt or other gifts.

I am a Catholic revert meaning I reverted back to the Catholic Faith after being away for almost 25 years! I had my adult confirmation at the Easter Vigil Mass in 2014. During my classes I enjoyed the beauty and richness of the Catholic Tradition and continue to learn everyday. It is in those classes and learning that I wanted to start making items to help others express as well as learn more about the Catholic Faith.

All of our products are made 100% at home meaning I do not outsource the design applications to an outside printer. Every shirt is pressed with heat transfer vinyl and is prayed over for the recipient and their intentions. This is my gift to you and I hope each item brings joys and happiness into your life.

When I am not working on designs or creating you can find me at my Parish helping with our Outreach Program as well as Volunteering in anyway they need me. I just love being at church and how close I feel to Jesus when I am there.
