My husband and oldest son recently joined the Troops of Saint George. One of their mottos or pillars is that a gentleman should always carry a pocket knife, a pencil and a Rosary.
I believe carrying a Rosary is something important. Now, I probably don’t have one on me but as I write this I realize, that has to change.
I remember working with a fellow teacher who once told me she always has a Rosary in her purse. I can’t remember how or why that came up in conversation, but what I do remember is shortly after we had this talk, a tragic accident occurred where this woman was hit by a car. I personally believe that Rosary kept her alive that day. And she is still living and walking again today.
I know we are often tempted to think we – or our loved ones – don’t need another Rosary.
